We are taking the plunge into marital bliss and couldn’t be more excited for all of you to be there with us on this kick ass day. We will be getting married at the Wild Horse in Carova, NC, on May 15th, but celebrating all weekend long! We have set up a couple different travel options to best suit your needs. We wanted to make this trip as painless as possible for all of our guests, so here are all the details you need to know.
Your weekend adventure starts with a charter bus that will be picking up guests on Thursday May 14th, 2015 at Wally-World in A-Town (145 Hill Carter Parkway, Ashland, VA 23005). The bus will leave at 2:30 sharp, so plan on being there around 2:00 to get a seat, a beer and prepare to party! We will have subs and beverages on supply for the ride (slackers don’t be late or you’ll be hanging out in the parking lot alone like a loser).
We spoke with the Walmart manager, and got verification that it was fine for everyone to park their cars here.
Once you arrive in Corolla, you’ll hop on the 4×4 bus which will bring you to your home away from home for the weekend, The Wild Horse in Carova. We will have everybody’s room assigned and ready for you when you get there. So, you can toss your stuff into the room and get to boozing ASAP.
We will be staying at a 4×4 beach so bring whatever you are going to need for the weekend. We will do all the grocery shopping and have the house stocked with food and beverages. So if you have any food allergies or dietary concerns, please let us know.
We will be getting married on Friday May 15th, 2015 at 5:15 (we are really buying into the whole 5-15 thing).
We will have a delicious breakfast stocked with a Mimosa/ Bloody Mary bar, muffins, bagels, an assortment of cereals, fruits, yogurt and doughnuts.
You’re welcome to spend the day on the beach or by the pool. At lunch there will be a banging Taco/Nacho bar. After we get hitched there will be a catered dinner by Currituck BBQ. So be prepared for delicious pork, chicken, brisket, slaw, mac-n-cheese, and much more. Oh and cake yum!
After that we will boogie down to some super sweet tunes and party until the sun comes up, so bring your dancing shoes and your green hats people!
Hangover brunch will be an array of breakfast casseroles, quiches and of course a Mimosa/Bloody Mary bar.
Cornhole anyone? We will be having an all out cornhole throw down. Hope you’ve been practicing because we can’t let Mole and Carter win.
For lunch there will be a sandwich and salad bar. Then for dinner, we will be munching on a Low Country Boil.
That’s a wrap folks. You have survived The Wild Horse Wedding Weekend! The 4×4 bus will be picking guest up around 8:00 am and taking us back to the charter bus we came in on. Yeah we know it’s early but you’ll be able to nap the whole way home. We will send you off with to-go breakfasts.
This setup includes everything listed above, except your transportation. This means that you will have to provide your own way down to the beach. In order to do this you will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle, because you will not be eligible for the 4×4 bus and will have to drive on the beach.
We are planning on getting another house for all our family members to reside in for the long weekend! We are still in the process of locking down the Haley/Tilman compound but once we have more details, we will post them here.
If you are staying in one of the family houses you can actually come down to the beach whenever you want. Because the houses have to be rented for the week, and it would be great if you could use it for that whole time. If you can’t do that, no big deal just come down to the house sometime before the wedding.
Family members your houses will not have to be accessed by a 4×4 vehicle, and you can drive whatever vehicle you would normally rock out in. We will provide 4×4 shuttle service the day of the wedding there and back, so that you do not have to worry about driving to The Wild Horse.
However, if you would like to be able to drive to The Wild Horse whenever you would like, or on the beach you will need 4-wheel drive vehicle to accomplish this.

After the wedding, we will be taking our married asses over seas to Italy to eat delicious food, drink an obscene amount of booze and maybe get some culture in our lives. Which leads us to the awkward topic of gifts.
We have a house filled with everything we need and asking for extravagant gifts isn’t our forte (but if you want to pay for us to remodel our kitchen, we won’t stop you) so as an alternative to wedding gifts, we have set up a honeymoon fund through Wanderable.com. By clicking on the link, it will lead you to our vacation registry/itinerary. Since this is our first time going overseas, we want to experience as much as we can. We are so appreciative of your generosity towards making this trip awesome.
